Covid 19 Update

Posted 12 Aug '21

Thank you for your support and flexibility this week in changing the format of your training. By all accounts it has been a success given the circumstances!

In line with today's health advice and the extension of the Newcastle / Hunter Lockdown by one week, Urban Base Fitness has developed a response keeping the health and safety of our members and our trainers at the centre of all decisions. Urban Base Fitness on site facility will remain closed for the next two weeks (regardless of lockdown status). This will allow us to loan equipment out to members for use at home over the next two weeks and will provide important clarity and certainly to our members and staff.

We acknowledge the huge impact lockdown has on mental heath and our decision aims to reduce the stress and anxiety for everyone in the UBF community. Please reach out to your trainers, to myself, to other trusted people in your life if you need any help or someone to talk to. We are all in this together and will continue to look after each other.

All clients will have the choice of:

  • Continuing with 1:1 outdoor sessions with a trainer
  • Continuing with virtual Zoom sessions with equipment loan (1:1 PT, Athlete, Weightlifting, YAD and group members).
  • Replacing their sessions with a prerecorded Nutrition Seminar and 1:1 virtual session with Erin.
  • Putting their membership in credit (for use when lockdown ends)
  • Pausing their debits for the next two weeks on pause. (Or additional two weeks if your membership is already paused).

Please reach out to Jodie by email jodie@urbanbasefitness.com.au (and your trainer if you are a 1:1 PT client) as soon as possible to let us know:

  • your membership preference moving forward so we can adjust your membership payment and arrange to book in your zoom or outdoor sessions.
  • If you will be training at home please send a list of the equipment you already have available (so we can be sure you have what you need to complete your individual or group zoom sessions).

The UBF team will be working on:

  • Launching a new Group Class program and schedule for next two weeks
  • Launching a new YAD program and schedule for next two weeks
  • Individualised plans for all Weightlifting Athletes based
  • Planning of Equipment Loans based on 1:1 and group programs.

We will communicate this with you all via Facebook and email as soon as possible. Thank you all for your support as always!
